Game of Thrones’ Prequel “House of the Dragon” is set to premiere in 2022

With a luckluster final season of Game of Thrones, a lot of fans are expecting a new spinoff to wow them. Unfortunately, the new spinoff news will not premier any time soon. Production has slowed down due to a heavy use of CGI to bring Westeros to life as well as Covid impacts.

With that in mind, according to Thrillist, the 1st season will be 10 episodes long.

House of the Dragon will be a prequel to Game of Thrones. It is set 300 years before the original GOT and heavily focusing on House of Targaryen. In conclusion, please note the original show runners D. B. Weiss and David Benioff are not set to return.
